Pantry was started when I combined my love of cooking with my love of creating handcrafted presents. By pulling ingredients from my kitchen pantry shelves, I was able to whip of natural personal + skin care products without nasty chemicals or additives.
The same can be said for this granola recipe, which I have dubbed “Everything in the Pantry” granola. Featuring 6 ingredients commonly used in our products, this granola is also extremely easy to make, affordable, and does not contain sugar, preservatives, or excess calories or fats, and costs 1/4 of the store-bought brands. You can add or omit any of the dry ingredients and I always go with what dried fruits and nuts I have in my pantry at the time.
Try it and tell me you don’t get addicted to it!
Pantry’s “Everything in the Pantry” Granola
3 cups Rolled Oats (we use gluten-free oats)
1 heaping cup Almonds, chopped
1 heaping cup Coconut, flaked unsweetened
1/4 cup Flax seeds, chia seeds, and/or hemp hearts
1 cup Pistachios (or swap for walnuts, pecan, pepitas, etc.)
2 tbsp Local Honey
2 tbsp real Maple syrup
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp Sea Salt
3/4 cup Coconut Oil, melted
1/2 cup Golden raisins, dried cranberries, dried apricots, dates (optional)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Mix everything (except dried fruit) in a large bowl.
Spread mixture on large, lightly greased baking sheet in a thin layer.
Bake for 30 minutes. If adding dried fruit, stir them in + bake for another 15 minutes.
Let granola sit on the baking sheet for another 10-15 minutes so that clusters can form.
Serve with yogurt + berries, with milk, or just by the handful.
